5 Reasons You Shouldn’t Pick 3 Men Movers… Even Though We’re Super Awesome

5 Reasons Why You Shouldn't Pick 3 Men Movers

5 Reasons Why You Shouldn't Pick 3 Men Movers

Having been in the moving business for more than 30 years, we at 3 Men Movers have done a lot of successful moves for some very satisfied customers. But during that time, we’ve come to the realization that once in a while, we’re not the best movers for the job. Sure, if you want an efficient move from Houston movers who will safely get your belongings from point A to point B within hours, we’re the moving company for you! But we recommend checking out other moving companies if any of the following scenarios apply to you.

You Need Your Items Inventoried

Some people who are moving require a detailed list of everything that is being transported. This might happen if you’re moving overseas, or going through a divorce. Regardless of the reason for taking inventory, you might want to go with the bigger moving companies that has systems in place for this, since our Austin movers don’t. On the other hand, if you’re scratching your head at why anyone would need a long list of all their belongings before they move, this probably doesn’t describe your situation and we’d be happy to help you move!

You Have Commercial Equipment

If you need some San Antonio movers to relocate large equipment or machinery–such as heavy items you might use in a medical office or commercial kitchen–you might want to look into other moving companies. We don’t move most commercial machines, as we mostly stick to home and office moves. That being said, we do know how to move certain large household items, as we can move baby grand pianos and gun safes, so go ahead and ask us if you’re not sure what kind of heavy items our movers can handle.

You Have Items on Pallets

If you have a lot of objects on pallets, you can hire our Dallas movers to unwrap and take everything off the pallets to move them separately. However, if you want to keep the items on the pallets, consider other moving companies. We simply don’t have the right equipment–such as pallet jacks or forklifts–for this task.

You Need a Long-Distance Move

In general, we mostly stick to shorter moves. You know, Houston to Dallas, or San Antonio to Austin. You can even see how a recent Houston to Austin move went in one of our videos! We can also move you to a nearby state, such as Louisiana or Oklahoma. But if you’re planning to relocate from Texas to New York, you might want to get moving quotes from other moving companies, because we’re probably not the cheapest option. Instead, talk to companies that are experts at long-distance moves, such as van liners that hire truck drivers and then pay a local crew to load the truck.

In that scenario, once your belongings are all loaded, the truck driver heads to your destination and might pick up extra loads along the way. It takes more time, but this method offers van liners a way to make more money on the trip, so you pay less. At 3 Men Movers, we don’t use this method. We prefer to focus on just one customer at a time, so when we move you, our movers are the only people who handle your belongings. We think this is the best option, but it’s certainly not the cheapest one for long-distance moves.

You Want a Rush Job

Some customers are in a real big hurry and tell us not to wrap or pad their belongings. They just want to get everything loaded up and on the road. We can do that–once you sign a waiver–but honestly it’s not our favorite way to operate. We like to do things right, and we pride ourselves on getting your belongings to the next location in one piece. So while we’re fast and efficient, we don’t like being sloppy or rushed…which means if your only focus is on speed, we might not be the best San Antonio movers for the job.

If none of these apply to you, 3 Men Movers may be the right people for the job! Contact our offices in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio or Austin today to learn more.
