Frequently Asked Questions

Here you will find the most frequently asked questions about our moving, packing and storage services. If your issue is not in this list please give us a call – we’re happy to help!

Yes we do! Our Trucks are well suited to handle rainy conditions, and our drivers are trained to drive in inclement weather. Unless severe flooding occurs, the move will go ahead as scheduled.
It depends how prepared you are. Unfortunately, we cannot give a concrete estimate on time because of all the unknown variables involved with the move.
Such as distance to destinations, the exact size of the home/apartment, parts that need assembling and dis-assembling, the distance that the movers have to walk to get your belongings from your home to the truck, and whether the belongings in the home are packed and ready to go. Pro Tip: The best way to save time (and money) is to ensure that your items are packed and boxed before our arrival. Our movers will never waste your time! When you hire our crews, you get professionalism, friendliness and efficiency. Please contact the office if you have any concerns.
Our standard truck comes with 3 professional movers, and our Supersize truck (48 feet) comes with 4. If you book a standard sized truck, but still need more man power, you can always add a 4th man for an additional $60 per hour.
No the movers will not pack up your home, but we do offer professional packing services. A house that’s packed up and ready to go will definitely save you time and money on your move – who doesn’t love saving?
Typically, our crews have two moves per day. Since there are many variables involved in a move we cannot tell exactly when the first move will be completed. Therefore, as soon as the movers complete their morning moves they will call their flex move customers and notify them of their arrival – communication is a big part of our happy move recipe! Pro tip: Book a flex move if you know you’ll need to finish up some last minute packing the day of your move.

Our trucks come in several different sizes depending on the size and needs of your move:

  • 24 Foot Truck – Standard size – These are comparable to the standard U-Haul truck that you see on the road
  • 48 Foot Truck – Supersize – The big trucks are great for larger sized homes
  • 24 Portable Storage Units – MOVITS – The containers are perfect for movers that need to hold their belongings in storage

For the safety of our crews and your belongings, the following items cannot be moved:

  • Pets
  • Plants (over state lines)
  • Trampolines
  • Guns
  • Ammo
  • Gasoline
  • Paint
  • Spray cans
  • Cleaning products
  • Swing sets
  • Jacuzzis
  • Cribs
  • Propane tanks

Any items that weigh between 300-600 pounds will require a waiver.

Yes, with some restrictions. We do not reassemble pool tables, baby furniture, play sets, or trampolines. Pro tip: Our crews may ask you to sign a waiver when reassembling certain items – it’s meant to protect both you and our crews, but always feel free to call the office if you need more information.
Our transparent travel fee is a one-time, flat fee that covers the transportation of our crew, truck, and equipment from our facility to your home and from your home back to our facility. The only other fee we charge is an hourly rate – we like to keep things simple.
The mover will bring his iPad. When the move is over you will sign them out out and digitally complete the transaction. Our preferred method of payment is credit card, but we can accept cash. Unfortunately, we cannot accept checks.

While car accidents during a move are very rare, you will not be charged for lost time related to the accident. Most importantly, we will ensure that all of your items were not damaged. If they were we will make sure they are replaced or restored to their original condition.

Accidents happen, but we still want to do everything that we can to ensure that the rest of your move is as smooth as possible. Lets’ take a quick walk through our protocol after an accident! Firstly, the authorities will be called to report the accident and emergency medical providers if needed. Afterwards, your crew leader will call the office alerting us of the accident. A new crew will be dispatched to your current location ASAP and your new crew leader will contact you with an estimated time of arrival, ensuring that you remain informed throughout the process.

Your new crew will reload your belongings into their truck. The clock will stop from the time of the accident and continue paused until all of you belongings are in the new crew’s truck. Finally, your belongings will be safely transported and unloaded at your new location.

Long distance moves are similar in nature to a standard move, but require an additional overnight fee. The crew will take care of their accommodations (lodging, food, fuel) with no additional fee for the customer. During overnight moves, your valuables remain safely locked in our truck.

Are you insured?
We definitely are! Our insurance company is Cordell Insurance.

How do I report damages?
Notify the movers immediately so they may document the damages on their iPad during the move. Take pictures of the damages for your claim and call to open a claim with our Customer Service Manager (Norma).

I am just moving a few items, do I still have to pay for the 2-hour minimum?
As a full-service moving company, you do have to pay the 2-hour minimum – even if it’s only a few items.

Our Movers will shrink wrap and use blankets to protect your items during transport and loading. Please note that our wrapping of delicate items, while helpful, is still not ideal/proper packing. To be safe you should have all delicate items crated/boxed prior to our arrival. If you need to keep our blankets there is a small fee.

We sure do! Just make sure that you disconnect your appliances at least 24 hours before your move. Our professional crews are experts at moving your items but they are not electricians or plumbers, and are unable to disconnect or reconnect any appliances.
