Inclement Weather Notice

Update: February 16, 2021

As the freezing weather conditions continue, we hope you and your family are staying warm. Many members of the 3 Men Movers team are without power as we know that many of you are also likely without power. Safety continues to be our top priority, both for customers and our moving crews. For this reason, we are not conducting any moves in Houston today or in Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio today or tomorrow. If the conditions improve we plan to begin moves later this week. A member of our customer service team will be contacting customers about rescheduling their moves.

We know this is a frustrating situation for everyone and we are dedicated to working with our customers to make sure their moves are conducted in a safe and timely manner. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Dear valued customer,

The state of Texas is expected to experience freezing conditions on Sunday, February 14 through Tuesday, February 16 and we wanted to reach out and provide up to date information regarding your service.

Here at 3 Men Movers, the safety of our customers and crews is our number one priority. We plan to continue services as scheduled unless the road conditions are not safe for you or our crews. We continue to monitor the conditions and if we deem the roads too dangerous then a member of our team will reach out to reschedule your move. In the event that we do not reschedule your move, you are always welcome to do so if you no longer feel comfortable moving. Please contact us directly and one of our staff members will happily assist you.

Here are a few things to remember about moving in inclement weather:

  • Blankets are not waterproof
  • We won’t stop the job unless it’s determined to be unsafe by the mover or based on a customer’s request.
  • If it rains, we can focus on the preload process of the move (any disassembling, arranging, blanketing and shrink wrapping, etc.)
  • Due to the conditions, the move might take longer since safety is the priority and moving items becomes a more difficult task, especially on icy surfaces.
  • If the weather deteriorates, we can stop the clock for 1 hour to determine if the weather will improve.

We look forward to assisting you with your moving needs.

Thank you,
The 3 Men Movers Customer Service Team
